Comparison to Japan
The accident in Chernobyl was just as tragic as the events nuclear fallout currently occurring in Japan, causing there to be similarities and differences between them.  Since the fallout in Japan was not able to get so out of control that the reactor exploded, the incident in Chernobyl had more deaths.  The deaths does not make it more serious than the fallout in Japan, the main problem for Japan is the land.  Not only is the crops and soil of the area around the reactors effected severely but the water is to.  This will purpose a terrible problem to Japan since one of its main industries is fish and seafood.
